Our choir was booked to sing at the Somerfest in Taunton on Saturday June 15th and over 30 choir members took part. We had a prime position in the courtyard of The Museum of Somerset where we sang to an appreciative audience of people enjoying lunch and visiting the museum. The rain held off and we sang Everybody’s Here, We Got All the Love, Likhon I Themba Lam, Let there be Peace, Bring me little water, Sylvie, Rene re Bapala, This Love will Carry, When I walk down the street, Wild Mountain Thyme and I’m Taking my Song.
After the lunch break we joined with Yvette Staelen’s choirs to sing a number of songs from our shared repertoire including I am a River, Halleluja, Ke Arona and Donna Nobis Pacem.
Everyone agreed it was a very enjoyable opportunity to showcase the range of the choir and the talent of our leader, Claire.
