At the recent end of term concert the choir raised £170 for Children’s Hospice SW. Family and friends of choir members were entertained to a whole range of songs from a breakfast warm-up, a haunting round, to 60’s pop hit Blue Moon as well as a Maori chant, a spiritual, the evocative Ashokan Farwell, and harmonies from S Africa.
After the thirsty work of singing in such unseasonably warm weather the choir went on to Rule 7 for the rest of the evening.
The choir returns again after Easter on April 19th – an open session where new members can come and try out the choir.
