Choir members joined with Meeting Voices choir from Chard and Harmony 303, in Horton Village Hall for a Ceilidh from 1- 5pm. Husbands and others were pulled away from the final stages of the first Ashes match and everyone joined in together to have a jolly afternoon. We ate, drank, danced and were merry at this summer bash. It was fantastic to socialise with, and sing some of our most popular songs with, the joint choirs together in the interval.
The group leading the dancing were great and the feet were tapping from chairs or on the floor. The food was enjoyed by all with ‘strawberries and cream sandwiches’ on a few more menus from now on! The hall was air-conditioned which proved popular on such a hot day! Thank you Meeting Voices for hosting this event and thank you Caroline for yet again directing the joint choirs.
