An appreciative audience of friends and family enjoyed our evening performance of uplifting songs – some new and some old favourites – at St John’s church, Wellington. We sang a range of folk, gospel, traditional and modern songs, mostly in four-part harmony. This was the final occasion of this term before our summer break.
Thank you to all who provided the delicious spread of food and drink we were all able to share afterwards.
This workshop withPip Wright’s choir Levow an Bts (World Voice) was a great success again working with our friends from Cornwall. Coaches from Penzance and Taunton met at Okehampton YHA site, which has a stunning view out across the fields, complete with ponies and sheep. Once again the weather was glorious and the singing a joy. The choirs enjoyed meeting each other and singing together under the inspired tutelage of Pip and Claire.
A workshop with choir leaders Ben and Dom has been arranged for our male choir members in the bass and tenor sections, so that they can enjoy singing with other men and learning from someone in their own vocal range. See news for a report on the event.
