Concert raises £200 for education in Africa

At our recent end of term concert at the Baptist Centre in Wellington, Blackdown Community Choir raised over £200 for “Link Community Development” which works to improve the quality of education in Africa. The large audience was entertained to songs from around the globe including Africa, and Israel, a Maori song from New Zealand, as well as the pop classics Fields of Gold and Sloop John B. After the concert, performers, friends and family spent the evening relaxing at Rule 7 in Wellington for some well-earned drinks!
