Following the Government’s advice to limit all social interactions to limit the spread of the coronavirus epidemic, choir sessions have been cancelled until further notice

ARC Inspiration, the Somerset charity for the homeless was the Blackdown Choir’s chosen charity for 2019. In addition to donating shoe boxes filled with useful items, to be distributed at Christmas, choir members and their families collected £450 to contribute to ARC’s work. The end of term Christmas concert for family and friends was a great success. The Wellington Arts Centre was a good venue as the acoustic allowed the choir to be heard at its best. The group from the choir went by coach to join the revellers at the annual Dunster by Candlelight celebration. Their numbers were swelled by singers from Yvette Stalens choir who meet at West Bagborough. The weather was cold but dry. Well done everyone who turned out! Photos are on the Gallery page
